Ontario to be Impacted by Major Storm

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Friday, February 22, 2019

On Sunday a major winter storm will track through Northeastern Ontario.

Across of Northeastern, Central and Eastern Ontario, there will likely be an extended period of freezing rain.

From Lake Superior to James Bay 15 to 25 cm of snow is likely.

Strong winds will cause the most problems. Gust up to 110 km/h is possible in Northeastern, Central and Southwestern Ontario along with the Golden Horseshoe.

In these areas, the strong wind will cause blowing snow and poor visibility.
