Ontario's Second Tornado of the Year

Environment Canada has confirmed Ontario's second tornado of the year.

After looking at video evidence over Buckhorn Lake, Environment Canada said that an EF0 tornado occurred with no significant damage on Canada Day.

For the area from Sunderland to Lindsay several downed tree branches ranging in size were found. Damage was also reported at the Canadian Tire in Lindsay. Damage found in the area from Sunderland to just east of Lindsay was indicative of straight line wind damage. Wind speeds were estimated as ranging from 70 km/h to 85 km/h with isolated wind gusts at or slightly higher than 90 km/h.
