Ontario and Quebec Blasted by Snow and Freezing Rain

The snowfall totals are piling up in Ontario.

Across Northeastern Ontario a Colorado Low has left snow in northern sections of the province and freezing rain in Southern Ontario and portions of Northeastern Ontario.

Here is a summary of snowfall amounts:
  • Marathon 40 cm
  • Terrace Bay 32 cm (estimated) 
  • Thunder Bay Airport 29 cm
  • Geraldton 27 cm
  • Upsala 21 cm (estimated) 
  • Atikokan 21 cm (estimated) 
  • Fort Frances 16 cm (estimated) 
  • Kapuskasing 15 cm
  • Nagagami 20 cm
In Quebec several western and central sections have received freezing rain.
 
Below is a summary of how long the freezing rain lasted:
  • Dorval the 28th, from 5 AM to 7 AM 
  • Saint-Hubert the 28th, from 5 AM to 7 AM 
  • Saint-Hyacinthe the 28th, from 6 AM to 8 AM 
  • Trois-Rivières the 28th, from 8 AM to 11 AM, and ongoing 
  • Drummondville the 28th, from 6 AM to 9 AM 
  • Sherbrooke the 28th, from 7 AM to 10 AM 
  • Val d'Or the 28th, from 7 AM to 10 AM 
  • Rouyn the 28th, from 7 AM to 11 AM, and ongoing
