Nova Scotia Woman Survives Lightning Strike

Posted by on Monday, July 25, 2016

A woman in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia is rather lucky after surviving a lightning strike.

The incident happened on Saturday during a fundraiser for a softball team. She escaped the hit with only minor burns.
She says that lightning  came up her right arm, and down the right side and out her foot.

Each year lightning kills approximately 10 Canadians and injures approximately 100 to 150 others.

People who have been struck by lightning do not carry an electrical charge and can be safely handled, but victims may be suffering from burns or shock and should receive medical attention immediately.
