Many in the United States Northeast are contending with broken trees, power outages, flooding, and beach erosion after a major nor'easter rammed the coastline.

Strong winds combined with snow and rain will wind down today.

At least five people were killed on Friday from falling trees.

Some 2900 flights were cancelled and even President Donald Trump has to fly out of Dulles Airport instead of Joint Base Andrews, where Air Force One is housed.

Train service from Washington to Boston was cancelled. Tractor-trailer trucks were blown over on some roads, and several bridges were closed.

In Massachusetts the National Guard were brought in to assist.
