No Tsunami Expected After Earthquake in Indian Ocean

There was a magnitude 6.3 earthquake along the Southeast Indian Ridge.

The earthquake was centered 2292 km southwest of Perth, Australia, and struck at a depth of depth of just 10 km.

In a brief statement, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said: "Based on all available data, a destructive Pacific-wide tsunami is not expected."

There were no injuries.
