NL Snow-clearing takes a Hit

Posted by on Friday, April 15, 2016

Newfoundland and Labrador's snow-clearing has also taken a hit from Thursday's Provincial Budget.

Snowplows will not start plowing roads until 4:30 a.m. and will terminate at 10:00 p.m.

The cost-cutting measure will save the province about $1.9 million per year. In total 26 positions will be eliminated.

Snow-clearing will still happen during emergency situations.
