An area of low pressure that will impact Ontario and Quebec will also have an impact on Atlantic Canada.

The low is expected to move over the region by Friday.

Precipitation will begin in the form of rain across the Maritimes and Newfoundland.

Rain will linger throughout the day on Saturday before changing over to either freezing rain or ice pellets for portions of Western New Brunswick and Northern sections of Newfoundland.

Some areas such as Nova Scotia Prince Edward Island and the south and east coast of Newfoundland could see significant rainfall amounts.

Conditions will improve in the Maritimes on Sunday and Newfoundland will clear out on Sunday night.

It remains to be seen which areas will receive how much precipitation but this could be a significant system with many different forms of precipitation.
