Newfoundland Gets a Taste of Summer

Many areas of Newfoundland saw a very nice weekend.

On both Saturday and Sunday warm temperature records were broken.

Several locations broke temperatures records.

On Saturday Badger got up to 16.5, beating the old record of 14.4 set in 1959. In Gander there was a new record of 21.4, the old record of 20.4 was set in 1986. Twillingate got up to a high of 19.3, the old record of 15.2 was set in 1996. 

The Avalon had a nice weekend also.

St. John's set new records also. On Saturday the airport got up to 20.2, the old record of 19.2 was set in 1986. Sunday we saw a high of 20.7 beating the old record of 16.8 set in 1983.
