Newfoundland Fishing Vessel Encounters Trouble off Greenland

The Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Halifax have coordinated the delivery of four pumps to a fishing vessel in distress 220 NM of Nuuk Greenland.

The 30 member crew have confirmed that the pumps are working.

The vessel from Newfoundland reportedly struck ice and started taking on water early this morning.

JRCC Halifax is working with Danish authorities to coordinate ongoing search and rescue efforts if required.
