New Years Eve Weather

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Saturday, December 30, 2017

If you are one of the many people who will be heading out for New Year's Eve celebrations you are in luck.

Most of the country will see fair skies which will be excellent to view the fireworks.

Across most of Canada on Christmas Eve there will be fair Skies. The only exception will be Newfoundland and Labrador where some snow is expected in areas. Areas along the St. Lawrence River could see some flurries.

However temperatures are another story.

We are continuing to see temperatures well below seasonal for this time of year as the Arctic air continues to invade much of Canada.

Across the Prairies today, temperatures will be in the -20's. Across Ontario and Quebec temperatures will be about -15 to -20. The Maritimes is cool as well.

The only warm spot will be in Vancouver where a high of 5 is expected.
