National Outlook for May 15

The Maritimes will see a rainy Tuesday, with near average temperatures. 

Central Canada will see a risk of T-storms and average temperatures. Some areas in southern Ontario will see up to 20 mm of rain. 

The Prairies  will see sunny, and windy conditions.  Some areas even have the potential to see their first 30 degree day of 2018! 
  • Labrador City NL -  The temperature will fall from minus 3 to minus 5 in the afternoon, with mainly cloudy skies and a chance for a few flurries.   The wind will start from the W at 20 km/h gusting to 40 km/h however, in the afternoon it will come out of the NW and shift to 40 km/h gusting to 60 km/h.  
  • Corner Brook NL -  16 degrees except 10 degrees along the coast, with mainly cloudy conditions and a 40% chance of showers turning to snow/rain showers overnight.  The wind will come from the SW at 20 km/h shifting in the afternoon to 40 km/h gusting to 60 km/h near the noon hour.  There will be fog patches that will dissipate in the late morning. 
  • Gander NL -  19 degrees with a mix of sun and cloud.  The wind will be coming from the SW at 20 km/h shifting to 40 km/h gusting to 60 km/h near the noon hour. Snow/Rain showers will start after midnight.  
  • St. John's NL- 16 degrees with a mix of sun and cloud.  The wind will be coming from the SW at 20 km/h gusting to 40 km/h.   Fog patches will dissipate in the late morning, and there are expected showers that will start after midnight. 
  • Sydney NS - 17 degrees except 10 degrees along the coast, with increasing cloudiness in the afternoon that will lead to after midnight showers.  Fog patches along the coast will dissipate in the late morning.  The wind will be coming from the SW at 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h. 
  • Halifax NS - 19 degrees except 11 degrees along the coast, with mainly sunny skies in the morning.  However, the clouds will roll in the late afternoon that will lead to a 30% chance of showers. The wind will be coming from the SW at 20 km/h in the morning, and a calm wind in the afternoon.  Fog will dissipate along the coast in the late morning. 
  • Charlottetown PE -  20 degrees except 15 degrees from the coast winds, with increasing cloudiness in the early afternoon, that will lead to a 60% chance of showers for the late afternoon/evening.  The wind will be coming from the S at 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h in the morning, and from the W at 20 km/h for the rest of the day. 
  • Fredericton NB -  21 degrees with mainly sunny conditions that will lead to increasing cloudiness and a 60% chance of showers in the late afternoon.  The wind will be coming from the SW at 20 km/h.  Fog will dissipate in the early morning. 
  • Gaspe QC - 17 degrees with a few showers ending in the morning, and becoming mainly cloudy in the afternoon/evening.  The wind will be coming from the NW at 20 km/h gusting to 40 km/h in the morning.
  • Quebec City QC - 18 degrees with mainly cloudy skies. The wind will be at 20 km/h from the NW in the late morning.  
  • Montreal QC - 23 degrees with a humid-ex of 25.  Mainly cloudy skies that will lead to a 40% chance of showers in the late morning and early afternoon. The wind will be coming from the N at 20 km/h in the late morning. 
  • Ottawa ON -  20 degrees with cloudy skies all day. The fog will dissipate in the morning.  The wind will be calm.  
  • Toronto ON - 18 degrees with showers/thundershowers in the morning/early afternoon, leading to mainly cloudy skies.  Amount will be 10 - 20 mm. 
  • Windsor ON - 19 degrees with morning showers and a risk of a T-storm, leading to mainly cloudy skies.  
  • Thunder Bay ON - 14 degrees with mainly sunny skies in the day.  The evening hours however will lead to mainly cloudy skies and a 30% chance of showers. 
  • Winnipeg MB - 28 with a few clouds.  The wind will be coming from the W at 40 km/h gusting to 60 km/h in the late morning. 
  • Regina SK -29 degrees with completely sunny conditions.  The wind will be coming from the W at 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h. 
  • Saskatoon SK - 29 degrees with complete sunshine all day.  The wind will be coming from the S at 20 km/h switching at the noon hour to the NW at 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h. 
  • Calgary AB - 30 degrees with a few clouds.  The wind will be coming from the SE at 20 km/h at the noon hour. 
  • Edmonton AB - 26 degrees and mainly sunny conditions, with the wind coming from the NW at 20 km/h in the afternoon. 
  • Fort McMurray AB - 22 degrees with mainly sunny conditions, with the wind coming from the NW at 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h in the afternoon.  
  • Prince George BC -26 degrees with complete sunshine all day. 
  • Vancouver BC - 22 degrees expect 26 degrees inland, with complete sunshine. 
  • Victoria BC - 23 degrees except 18 near the water, with complete sunshine.  Windy conditions near the Juan de Fuca Strait, in the afternoon. 
  • Iqaluit NU - minus 2 with mainly cloudy skies, that will lead to a 30% chance of flurries in the late afternoon. 
  • Yellowknife NT - 2 degrees with snow flurries ending in the early afternoon, that will lead to mainly cloudy skies.  The wind will be coming from the E at 20 km/h. 
  • Whitehorse YT - 12 degrees with mainly sunny skies in the early morning that will lead to a 40% chance of showers in the afternoon.
