Multiple Power Outages and Travel Issues across Newfoundland

The strong winds have done a number on Newfoundland's power grid and transportation networks.

In Newfoundland Power's catchment area there are power outages for Manuels, Summerford, Valley Pond, New World Island, Stanhope, Birch Street, Bowater Avenue, Laurenceton, Lewisporte, Pine Avenue, Coxs Cove, Mcivers, Reidville, Connecticut Drive.

NL Hydro is reporting outages for Triton, Roberts Arm, and Port Saunders.

Marine Atlantic has cancelled all crossings today for the second day in a row.

There are cancelled and delayed flights across the province.

Roads across the province are also a mess.

On the Avalon roads are wet with good visibility. In Eastern sections there are snow covered and wet sections. Central Newfoundland has slippery sections with white outs in spots. Roads are wet with slippery and slushy sections, there are white outs in spots on the West Coast. In Labrador, there are snow covered and slippery sections along the coast.
