Mount Etna Sliding Toward Sea Could Trigger Landslides and Tsunamis

Mount Etna, an active volcano on the east coast of Italy, is slowly sliding into the ocean.

This could have devastating consequences for the region.

Mount Etna will eventually sink into the ocean, it is moving toward the ocean at a rate of 14 mm a year.

As it progresses toward the ocean it could trigger catastrophic landslides and devastating tsunamis.
