This week on Wx Centre we are showcasing the most dangerous storm on earth ever.

Today is Monday so we begin his list with number 5.

It was back in 2008 when Cyclone Nargis slammed the Southeast Asian nation of Burma, also known as Myanmar.

Nargis was the deadliest storm to ever strike the country pacing winds of 164 km/h and a massive storm surge. The storm was responsible for killing 140,000 people. Although some believe that that number may actually be higher as many people were washed out to sea.

Additionally almost half a million homes were destroyed, four thousand schools and countless hospitals were also destroyed.
