Most of Newfoundland received snow last night and it is continuing today.

The low is going to move off the north coast of Newfoundland and will bring significant snow and strong winds to the Northern Peninsula and southeastern Labrador.

By Sunday night portions of the Northern Peninsula may receive 15 to 20 cm of snow. There is a wind warning for the Northern Peninsula East where winds gusting up to 100 km/h are expected to develop in the Canada Bay area early Sunday morning and then persist through the day.

At the same time snow squalls may fire up along parts of the west and south coast tonight. Should snow squalls develop tonight about  to 7 cm with blowing snow is the likely outcome.
