More Snow for the Prairies

Posted by on Saturday, October 8, 2016

A low pressure system along the Alberta and Saskatchewan border will spread some mixed precipitation into the region today.

Snowfall accumulations of about 5 cm is possible over most of the eastern Prairies. In the La Ronge area  there is the potential for 15 to 20 cm of snow.

There is a potential for significant freezing rain especially along the Yellowhead highway.

There will be quite the temperature contrast as well, in Regina a high of 11 is expected while a high of just three is forecast in Saskatoon.

On Monday the system will bring rain and snow to Manitoba.
