More snow for Newfoundland

Posted by on Wednesday, February 10, 2016

A low pressure system will approach Newfoundland on Saturday evening. The Canadian and American model takes the center of the low just south of the Avalon Peninsula.

Based on this track snow is likely for most areas of the Island with rain and mixed precipitation remaining offshore.

The heaviest snow is likely to impact the southeastern Avalon with amounts of 15 cm possible. The remainder of the Avalon and Central may receive 10 to 15 cm and 5 to 10 cm for the West Coast.
