Montana Earthquake Felt in Alberta

A magnitude 5.8 Earthquake struck 11 km south-southeast of Lincoln, Montana just after midnight local time.

The earthquake was the state's largest shaker in a dozen years.

Some minor damage was reported and there were power outages. Damage may be more profound at daybreak.

Residents of southern Alberta took to social media saying the the earthquake was felt.

More than 10,000 people reported feeling the earthquake, with people closest to the epicenter reporting shaking as strong as intensity level 8.
