The death toll continues to rise after monsoon flooding.

India, Nepal and Bangladesh have been bombarded with heavy monsoon flooding that is responsible for 245 deaths so far.

Heavy rain triggered landslides that have devastated parts of northern India, southern Nepal and Bangladesh.

More rain is expected at the end of the week.

Soldiers and rescue crews were rescuing people trapped on rooftops.

Helicopters were dropping food and drinking water to areas inaccessible by road.

The southwestern summer monsoons occur from July through September.
