Mixed Precipitation Over Vancouver Island & Lower Mainland

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Saturday, January 27, 2018

We may end up with some mixed precipitation for Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland today.

Last night an area of low pressure moved onto the coast and clashed with colder air from the Interior delivering mixed precipitation the area overnight.

This will continue today in spots.

Over the central and eastern Fraser Valley, and east Vancouver Island, 5 to 10 cm of snow is possible.

For areas such as Howe Sound and Whistler, snowfall totals may reach 15 cm.

Across Vancouver and Victoria precipitation at sea level will remain as rain.
