Minimum Temperature Records Set in Atlantic Canada

Parts of Atlantic Canada wasn't feeling the love from Mother Nature on Friday morning.

Minimum temperature records were set on Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, and New Brunswick.

On Prince Edward Island Summerside set a new record of -0.1. The old record of 0.0 was set in 1899. Records in this area have been kept since 1898.

In Newfoundland Corner Brook saw a low of -3.3, beating the old record of -1.7 set in 1934. Records in this area have been kept since 1933.

Deer Lake tied the record of -3.9 set in 1974. Records in this area have been kept since 1933.

Terra Nova National Park tied their record of -3.3 set in 1962. Records in this area have been kept since 1962.

Twillingate set a new record of -3.0, the old record of -2.2 was set in 1957. Records in this area have been kept since 1950.

In New Brunswick Bouctouche set a new record of -0.3. The old record of 0.0 was set in 1969. Records in this area have been kept since 1965. 

Grand Manan set a new record of -1.1. Old record of 0.0 was set in 1997. Records in this area have been kept since 1883.

Miscou Island set a new record of -1.2. The old record of -1.1 was set in 1969. Records in this area have been kept since 1957.
