Posted by Kyle Brookings on Friday, November 23, 2018

Researchers have discovered a massive crater under an ice sheet in Greenland.

The crater is about the same size as Fredericton, NB.

It is covered in ice about a kilometer thick.

It is 30 km wide and about 300 meters deep.

It is also one of the 25 biggest craters ever discovered on Earth. It's also the first crater ever found under a continental ice sheet.
