Maria Become's a Political Storm

After Maria trashed Puerto Rico, there is a storm of words developing between politicians in Puerto Rico and U.S. President Donald Trump.

The Trump administration has been facing tough criticism for their slow response.

The Mayor of San Juan has been pleading for help, at Trump Tweets criticism over the mayors asking for help.

Trump said on Twitter that Puerto Rico "wants everything done for them."

Over 3 million people continue to wait for aid in Puerto Rico.

The Mayor said, "I am done being polite," she said. "I'm done being politically correct. I am mad as hell."

The U.S. territory was devastated by the Sept. 20 hurricane that killed at least 18, left the entire island without electricity and more than half of its residents without potable water.

Puerto Rico was still recovering from Hurricane Irma two weeks prior, approximately 80,000 remained without power as Maria approached.
