Manitoba Walloped by Thunderstorms

Manitoba got walloped by a group of thunderstorms that stormed across southern Manitoba on Friday morning.
The storms brought intense lighting, heavy rain, and localized flooding to the area.

Large hail was also reported in several communities, with the largest being tennis ball sized hail from Reinfeld to Winkler causing damage to windows and vehicles. 

Environment Canada released a summary of rainfall amounts and hail reports

Winnipeg The Forks: 21 mm
Winnipeg Airport: 8 mm

Notre Dame de Lourdes: Quarter sized hail at 2:00 AM CDT 
Winkler: Golf Ball sized hail at 2:30 AM CDT 
Morden: Loonie sized hail at 2:45 AM CDT 
Reinfeld: Tennis Ball sized hail at 3:00 AM CDT 
Winkler: Tennis Ball sized hail at 3:00 AM CDT 
Steinbach: Toonie sized hail at 5:00 AM CDT 
Zhoda: Nickel sized hail at 5:00 AM CDT
