So far seven communities in Manitoba have declared a state
The communities of Grassland, Grey, Swan River, Carman, Two
Borders, Dufferin and La Broquerie have all declared states of emergency as the
spring thaw continues to melt snow and rivers begin to rise.
The Red River Floodway and the Portage Diversion were
activated late last week.
The Red River is almost 6 metres above normal winter levels.
