Major Ice Storm Possible in Ontario This Weekend

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Wednesday, April 11, 2018

There could be a major ice storm for parts of Ontario this weekend.

Early on Saturday morning it appears as though freezing rain will begin over Southwestern Ontario and spread across Southern Ontario and the National Capital Region.

The freezing rain may last through Sunday.

Some areas could receive 20 mm of freezing rain and gusty wind.

Should this transpire there will be widespread power outages.

It is important to note that the track may change as this event is still 48+ hours away.

This weekend parts of Northern Ontario may receive 15 cm of snow.
