Advanced Education, Skills and Labour Minister Gerry Byrne announced at a luncheon last week in Corner Brook that Marble Mountain will re-open for this weekend.

In addition to that there will be free passes and rentals.

The perks are in an attempt to get people back to Marble Mountain.

However, the weather will have the final say on whether the hill will re-open.

Most of Newfoundland has been experiencing warm temperatures and some rain which has really cut down on the snow depth.

Within the City of Corner Brook snow levels have dropped drastically since the warmer weather arrived.

Marble Mountain has seen 211 cm of snowfall this year.

Tony Abbott manages the outdoor operations and will decide Wednesday if it will open.
