There is a broad area of disturbed weather has about 2414 km east-southeast of the Big Island of Hawaii. Some slow development of this system is possible during the next couple of days before upper-level winds become unfavorable for tropical cyclone formation.

This system is expected to move west-northwestward into the Central Pacific Hurricane Center's area of responsibility in a day or two.

The NHC gives this a low chance near 10 percent of forming through the next 48 hours and a low chance of 20 percent of forming through the next 5 days.
