Low Causes Travel Problems & Minor Flooding in NL

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Sunday, February 17, 2019

The low that brought rain, snow, ice pellets, and freezing rain to Newfoundland on Saturday is now moving off into the Atlantic Ocean.

There were some problems in the Corner Brook area. The snowpack combined with rain caused some minor flooding in the area.

Strong winds also caused some traveling problems.

In the Stephenville Access Road to Port aux Basques area, tractor trailers were advised to stay off the roads.

In the Plum Point to St. Anthony area all motors were advised to stay off the roads altogether.
