Life-Threatening Temperatures Across Southwest

Posted by on Wednesday, June 15, 2016

In cities such as Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Palm Springs it's not uncommon to see hot weather. However, some warmest temperature records are likely to fall on Monday as intense heat builds into the region.

Monday's Highs:
Las Vegas: 112°F (44°C)
Phoenix: 119°F (48°C)
Tucson: 112°F (44°C)
Los Angeles: 99°F (37°C)
Palm Springs: 118°F (48°C)

A period of hot temperatures is expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Remember that these temperatures can kill.
