People from Corner Brook on up the Northern Peninsula awoke to a winter wonderland this morning... yes the date is April 21.

Snow started falling on Friday morning and while the snow did not stick to the ground in most areas throughout the day, as temperatures cooled on Friday evening we began to see some accumulation.

Snow will continue to fall today and tonight with as much an another 10 cm expected.

Temperatures should warm up into the double digits by Wednesday.

It is not as bad in Western Newfoundland as it is in Labrador.

There are snowfall warnings in effect for Cartwright to Black Tickle, Norman Bay to Lodge Bay, Postville - Makkovik, and Rigolet and vicinity.

As much as 15 to 25 cm are expected along much of the coast by Sunday morning, with as much as 40 cm accumulating inland and over higher terrain.
