The major area of low pressure that has caused widespread damage in the United States Northeast is continuing to churn up massive waves off the coast of Nova Scotia.

Over the weekend the areas has been seeing pounding surf, large waves, and elevated water levels. This is expected to continue into Tuesday.

These conditions could give minor coastal flooding, shore or beach erosion, and possible infrastructure damage.

Areas near the coast may see waves of 6 meters. In the Laurentian Fan marine area waves are expected to reach 11 meters.
