The City of Brandon, Manitoba is a city forever changed today after a fire ripped through downtown on Sunday.
Officials say that the fire appears to have started in an office products building. From there the fire spread to several other buildings. It started at Christie's Office Plus on the 700 block of Pacific Avenue around noon.
Police evacuated several surrounding buildings nearby as firefighters battled the raging inferno.
The Canadian Red Cross is helping those displaced. 150 people have been left homeless.
Firefighters had to let Christie's Office Plus burn and had to back off.
Also lost was a boxing club, a contracting business, apartments, and a beer vendor.
Firefighters from CFB Shilo, arrived to help battle the blaze.
