Municipal Affairs Minister Eddie Joyce says Muskrat falls is not the cause of flooding at Mud Lake in Labrador.

Twenty-eight people were evacuated due to flooding yesterday morning. Eleven have chosen to remain.

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro cut power on the lower section of the road due to flooding conditions in the area.

The evacuees are in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

The government is waiting to see what can be done with the ice-jams.

The Canadian Red Cross is on site registering residents to ensure that everyone is accounted for.

SPCA officials are helping people with pets.
