Kilauea Volcano Update

Eruption of Volcano during Dawn

Another explosion on Tuesday has sent ash 1 mile high into the air. Thousands of residents have already been evacuated, with dozens more possible.  To make matters worse there was a 5.5 magnitude earthquake on Tuesday morning.  There was no tsunami warning sent out, as the threshold for those type of warnings is a 6.9 magnitude.  The Kilauea Volcano eruption has been going on for almost a month.

Scientists say that it could last a month or more, with doubt of saying for sure when it is expected to calm down.
