It was a Stormy Weekend in Quebec

A lot of rain fell over the province of Quebec on May 4 and into May 5.

In some areas over 25 millimetres of rain fell in less than 24 hours.

Strong winds affected Eastern Quebec on Saturday also, in particular over the Gaspé Peninsula and Anticosti Island.

  • Bagotville: 25 mm
  • Baie-Comeau: 31 mm
  • Lac Mégantic: 25 mm
  • Sawyerville: 27 mm
  • Saint-Côme-Linière: 23 mm

Peak wind gusts:
  • Sainte-Anne-des-Monts: 80 km/h
  • Gaspé: 91 km/h
  • Heath Point (Anticosti): 81 km/h
