There is a large area of low pressure near the northern Leeward Islands that is providing some showers over portions of the Leeward Islands and adjacent waters.

Sunday rain will spread over the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

Upper-level winds are expected to remain unfavorable for development during the next day or two, but the environment could become a little more conducive for some development early next week.

Models does not indicate any hurricane intensity, but there is a possibility that the storm could become a tropical storm.

Regardless of development the low is expected to track off the east coast of the United States, before taking a turn northeastward out to sea.
