Impressive Storm Totals in Labrador

The weather across Labrador has been less than ideal with a blizzard sweeping across the area that started on Monday night and continued through Wednesday.

The storm dropped significant amounts of snow. Here are some totals.
Nain: 78 cm
Makkovik: 71 cm
Cartwright: 35.1 cm
Goose Bay: 32.2 cm
Blanc Sablon: 20.8 cm
L'Anse au Loup: 20 cm
The storms also brough strong northeast to northwesterly winds across Labrador Monday night and Tuesday. And strong west to northwesterly winds persisted over northern Labrador. The strong winds cause widespread reduced visibility and blowing snow. This along with the snow closed schools.
