Marine engineers working on a project off the coast of Scotland have discovered a WWI German Submarine that had been sunk.

A legend associated with the disappearance said that a “strange beast” with “large eyes set in a horny sort of skull” came out of the water and that's why the the crew surfaced.

The crew that found the submarine report the craft to still largely be intact.

Historian Innes McCartney argues that the submarines capture was due to more technical issues.
