Huge Weathermaker for Nova Scotia & Newfoundland

Posted by on Thursday, March 3, 2016

A low moving from the Gulf States to the Atlantic will have an impact on the weather for Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

The low will track northeastward to lay just south of Nova Scotia on Saturday morning. Based on it's current track the low has the potential to deliver blizzard condition to Nova Scotia on Saturday.

In Newfoundland the snow will arrive just before noon on Saturday along the south coast. By early afternoon all of Newfoundland will be in to the snow with the exception of the Northern Peninsula where the snow will start in the evening.
Snow is expected to change to rain across the Avalon and ice pellets of freezing rain in central.

Labrador may escape the storm with just some flurries brushing the southeast coast.
