But don't panic yet.

Scientists have discovered a star will brush past our solar system in 1.3 million years and has the potential to send comets toward Earth.

Gliese 710 is a star in the constellation Serpens Cauda which is expected to pass through our Solar System's Oort cloud 1.35 million years from now.

There are 16 stars that will come within around 19 trillion miles of the sun over the next five million years.

It is still not totally clear the risk that Gisele 710 poses to Earth. It is safe to say that we don't need to worry about it.
