A massive surface high pressure system is continuing to sent the temperatures climbing over southern British Columbia.

Today daytime highs are expected to be 32 in Cranbrook, 36 in Grand Forks, 33 in Kelowna, Revelstoke will get up 35, and Whistler will peak at 32.

This surface high pressure system will lead to several days of hot weather.

The hot weather will not help in ventilating the wildfire smoke in the Interior and Southeast.

The current weather pattern over the BC coast is causing outflow winds to carry smoke from wildfires burning in the BC Interior towards the coast.
