A low pressure system will bring several different kinds of precipitation to Atlantic Canada this weekend.

In Quebec, some areas of the Lower St Lawrence and the Gaspe Peninsula will see significant snow.

New Brunswick will see a mix of rain, snow, freezing rain and strong winds. It will begin this morning.

Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island will see mostly heavy rain. The rain will be heavy at times with up to 50 mm possible. There will also be strong winds.

Most of Newfoundland will start out as rain with freezing rain possible in western and central sections, snow will begin after that on Sunday night. There will also be strong winds.
