An area of low pressure will move in from British Columbia this morning and will deliver snowfall to southern portions of Alberta through the day.

The snow will taper off on Wednesday but not before dropping 25 to 40 cm in areas under a winter storm warning. For areas under a snowfall warming 15 to 25 cm is highly likely.

Winds gusting up to 50 km/h will cause poor visibility.

A system off the US Pacific coast is expected to march eastward and form another low over Montana on Wednesday morning.

This low will deliver snow to southern Saskatchewan beginning tonight, before tapering off by Wednesday evening.

Snowfall accumulations of 5 to 10 cm is the most likely outcome, with higher amounts locally.
