For the eastern Arctic we will see significant rain and snow for some area.

There are presently a couple of merging lows over the Great Slave Lake area and southwest Saskatchewan merging over Hudson Bay on Wednesday.

The low has  intensified overnight and has deepened.

An area of heavy rainfall is likely as it moves through the region.

Many areas are forecast to see 10 to 20 mm, however it appears that this could be a significant event for  Baker Lake, where 30 to 50 mm of  rain may fall in a 24 hour period.

Some areas may see wet snow accumulations of 4 to 8 cm on Tuesday night.

We will also see strong winds on backside of this low for Kivalliq with gusts of 70-80 km/h possible Tuesday night.
