Heavy Rain Prompts 40 High-Water Rescues

Heavy rain caused extensive flooding in the San Antonio metro area prompting several high-water rescues on Monday morning.

The Fire Department responded to 40 water rescue calls between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. according to the Public Relations Manager, Woody Woodward.

The National Weather Service reported that 120 mm of rain had fallen at the San Antonio International Airport.

Today there is only a chance of showers in the San Antonio area.
