After what was a wet and windy night across Western Newfoundland the region will clear out over the course of the day.

On the west coast Ferry services were disrupted due to the high winds.

Meanwhile for those in eastern Newfoundland, it will be our turn to deal with the rain and the wind.

Rainfall forecast:
St John's 10 to 20 mm
Carbonear 5 to 10 mm
Placentia 10 to 20 mm
Marystown 10 to 20 mm
Clarenville 20 to 30 mm
Gander 10 to 20 mm

There is also the possibility of thundershowers.
