For months now on and off heavy rain and landslides have slammed the California coastline. As a result extensive coastal erosion has occurred left a set of apartments suspended off the edge of a cliff in the city of Pacifica.

As a result the city has declared a state of emergency.

The building has been evacuated.

Pacifica is a city in San Mateo County, California, on the coast of the Pacific Ocean between San Francisco and Half Moon Bay.

Over the next few days some showers are expected Friday and into early next week.
