Heavy Rain Continues Across Southern Newfoundland

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Saturday, March 16, 2019

Southern sections of Newfoundland are still seeing heavy showers today.

A rainfall warning remains in effect for the Avalon Peninsula Southeast, Avalon Peninsula Southwest, Burgeo - Ramea, Burin Peninsula, Channel-Port aux Basques and vicinity, and Connaigre.

Across Newfoundland today rainfall amounts will generally range from 5 to 10 mm. On the south coast, rainfall amounts will be higher with 10 to 30 mm expected.

The ground remains frozen so it can not absorb much rainfall.

Temperatures will fall tomorrow.
